Pandoragami is lightweight furniture design constructed out of a single sheet in order to offer qualities that we perceive furniture for a nomadic community should possess. It is lightweight, configurable, customizable and easily portable and storable. It was designed in response to the rapid advancements in mobile technology widens the work space spectrum, lessening the need for fixed and permanent office spaces. People are becoming nomadic workers. Nomadic workers can be defined as people who are found working ‘on-the-go or in transport: on buses, trains, airplanes and even sometimes in mid-stride via mobile devices. This trend is challenging the tradition work space and its furniture components. Furniture can be more configurable and lightweight.
